Vicki Wade presently works for FEMA in the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. She has worked as a Fire Program Specialist for 15 years. She has experience in all the Assistance to Firefighters grant programs. She utilizes her 30 plus years of fire service expertise to assist applicants in the acquisition of grants and is dedicated to assisting recipients to successfully manage their grants. She began her fire service career in an urban environment as a State of Florida Certified Fire Inspector assigned to the City of Miami Fire Rescue and Inspection Services Division. Her expertise is in code enforcement, arson investigation and community education programs.
She retired after 20 years of service. In 1996, she re-entered the fire service as the Community Involvement Specialist for the City of Palm Beach Gardens Fire Rescue. It is in Palm Beach Gardens, that Vicki was introduced to the world of wild land firefighting and fire safety. She is proud of her fire service achievements and thankful for the opportunity to serve the citizens of this great country.
